Creative Coast Festival and DreamHack crown YCJY the winner of DreamHack Indie Award with their submission “The Aquatic Adventure of the Last Human”.
The first annual Creative Coast Festival was hosted this weekend in Karlshamn, Sweden. As stated in the initial statement, it became a true melting pot for games, music, movies, sound and digital/post-digital art. At the stage of the Creative Coast Festival we witnessed many different contributions, including game ideas and live music, and the whole evening was a true celebration of that DIY-spirit that the Swedish Indie game community represents.
“The quality of the games that was submitted for the Dreamhack Indie Awards blew our minds. From the moment we started playing and testing the games we knew that this would be a tough challenge for us to decide a winner.” said Magnus Leppaniemi, from DreamHack AB. “We are really happy that so many talented people and great games participated in the first DreamHack Indie Award at Creative Coast. We are really excited that most of the games that where a part of this years competitions will be at Dreamhack Summer and Winter 2015.”
“It was a blast working with DreamHack for this award!” says Johan Toresson, founder of the Creative Coast Festival. “I’m extremely happy that the contributions held such a high level of polish and quality, and that we had this amazing award to present at the festival.”
When the dust settled the lovely host for the evening, Ann-Sofie Sydow, announced the winners.
