DreamHack Casemod Championship

Modders gather round! We are very happy to announce the return of the DreamHack Summer Casemod Championship, stronger and better than ever before. Together with our media partner, the highly ranked tech & hardware site SweClockers, we’re bringing a competition with over 60 000 SEK in prize pool.

Since the start of DreamHack in 1994 there has always been an audience with a lot passion for creative activities, mods, programming and graphics. In the 2017 edition of our popular Casemod Championship, we want to bring it back to the community level and also encourage the non-professional modders and creators. The Casemod championship DHS 2017 will be in collaboration with some of the most renowned sites, profiles and partners in the community and industry. The goal is to keep it simple so that people can participate with pre-built systems.

Competition Format

The competition consists of two different classes. One Master Class with invited modders and pre-selected contestants based from an online application. One Open Class where visitors at the event can participate. Winners will be in 1-3rd place, and also in different categories, such as best non tower build, most creative/wild, best compact SFF best cable management/sleeving, and best over all build.

The Master Class

The contestants for this competition will be, by the judges: pre-selected entry’s, both from famous modders and from the on-line applications made at Sweclockers.com. Stay tuned for exact sign up dates. Note that contestants in the Master Class can’t compete in the Open Class.

The Open Class

Every day between specific times, the contestants at DreamHack Summer can get their cases and mods reviewed by judges and compete with their chassis. This will be held in the Fan Zone area. Judges will be present and decide who qualifies to the finals. Contestants from the Master Class can’t participate in the Open Class. Anyone can sign up at the Fan Zone during the event.


As we move closer to the event we will announce more rule details, so stay tuned. Until then, here’s what you need to know.
– There is no limitation of materials used.
– Contestants in the Master Class can’t compete in the Open Class.
– Community votes from Sweclockers.com will decide winners in the special categories, for example in: best cooling solution, best non tower build, best cable management, etc.
