DREAMHACK SUMMER RECAP – DAY 1

The first day of the best LAN event of the summer has been a real blast! Thousands of people entered the arena when the doors opened at 8:00 CEST, and only a couple of hours later we started our activities with the stream zone and the first tournaments. Let’s have a look at the events that took place during the day.

Stream and Fan Zones

More than twenty streamers performed in real time in Hall C starting from 11:00 in the morning. All the fans were able to meet their favorites and witness the real passion behind their work. We had celebrities such as onscreenlol and Theonemanny, among the others.

The activities in the Fan Zone, located in Lobby Syd, started at 12:00. Our visitors had the chance to learn about and try the products of Tetra Pak and Soda Nation. The former presented the new Orange Kvarg, a limited edition of their famous protein drink, while the latter brought to DreamHack Summer a range of more than twenty quality sodas.

Later on, two of the most successful streamers of DreamHack ran an autograph sessions, and also took some time to talk to their followers: @hotted89 and @djari328. Also the Brazilian powerhouse – SK Gaming, entered the lobby after a successful day of games.

The Main and Open Air stages welcomed multiple artists and personalities along the day.

At 19:00 the famous speedrunner Coolkid showed off his talent in the classic Quake on the main stage. DreamHack Summer is also a great musical festival, so those who felt like listening to some tunes had the chance to follow the famous DJ Marc at the same time in the open stage.

If tonight you will stay up until late, the fun will continue with the performances of TheFatRat at 00:30 and Dubmood at 02:00!
