DreamHack SteelSeries CS:GO Championship at DH Summer 2014

DreamHack, SteelSeries and NEEDforSEAT are proud to present the DreamHack SteelSeries CS:GO Championship at DreamHack Summer 2014 14-17 June. Sixteen of the World’s best Counter-Strike Global Offensive teams will fight to become the next DreamHack Champions.

The DreamHack SteelSeries CS:GO Championship will start Saturday June 14th of and the Grand Final will be played on Monday the 16th of June. Sixteen of the World’s best CS:GO teams will be participating in the tournament and fight over 200,000 SEK (equals ~$30,000) in prize money and the chance to play the Grand Final in front of thousands of CS-fans in DreamArena Extreme.

For the third DreamHack CS:GO tournament straight, SteelSeries will be the title sponsor of the tournament. SteelSeries has been and continues to be one of DreamHack’s core partners in supporting eSports and especially Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. NEEDforSEAT is also supporting the event as a main sponsor and will be providing seats for all the tournament matches.

The tournament will be a played in the classic DreamHack-format with an open BYOC-qualifier on Day #1 where 2 teams will qualify for the 16-team main tournament played in the Tournament Area. The main tournament is played in group stage double elimination best-of-one and playoffs is played single elimination best-of-three.

At DreamHack Summer 2014, DreamHack will also host the Grand Finals in ESPORTSM 2013/2014 where Sweden’s best CS:GO teams will fight to become the Swedish Champions in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and win another 100 000 SEK in prize money.

Eight teams have already received a direct invitation to the tournament, and DreamHack will announce the last slots in the upcoming days.

At June 14 DreamHack will host an open BYOC-qualifier for all attending DreamHack participants. You need a BYOC-ticket to participate in the tournament. All teams need to register online and confirm their participation on-site at Game Crew Info Desk latest 15.00 CET 14th of June 2014. Your team is only eligible to participate in the tournament if all 5 team members have ticket and bring your own computers.
