”No one expects the banana”

Looking for a good carry with tons of utility? Look no further! Tine Marie Riis is keeping the peace here at DreamHack with a huge rifle and a mind-blowingly accurate Caitlyn outfit. Roaming the expo area in Hall B, one can catch her for a picture or autograph, at least when she is not helping Riot Games with their cosplayers using her 5 year long experience in cosplaying.

How did it all begin? Well, after spending some time in Los Angeles, Tine was persuaded into joining them for an anime convention. Finding amazement in the cosplay, she felt inspired and ended up trying it herself.

Today the same person joins in for her 3rd DreamHack as Caitlyn, a carry champion with lots of utility, as she helps out other cosplayers for their ”Cosplay in 20 minutes” event. After that is over, she’ll ready herself for the competition with her Dryad Soraka costume. Why Dryad Soraka one might wonder? Because first and foremost, Tine just loves the challenge, as it does require a lot of work to perfect, but the bigger reason is that she likes the support role as helping out is of utmost importance to her. ”Also, Soraka really deserves more love” she tells us, ”…and I mean, you just gotta love the banana!”.

Although being a veteran, Tine Marie has been judging a lot of cosplay rather than competing in it, resulting in some nerves for the upcoming competition against some of the best cosplayers out there. But she will make sure to do her best!

When asked what she loves the most about DreamHack, she says that she just loves meeting all these people with the same interests and that it is really cool that high profiles like Yaya Han and Kamui attend the event. What sets them apart? Yaya Han is amazing at making beautiful costumes that work well and Kamui is great at the art of crafting all kinds of different armour according to the cosplayer.

Watch Tine compete against the other cosplayers in the DreamHack Komplett.se Cosplay Championship on the Main Stage in Hall D!
